I know. Seeing chained elephants looks a little cruel, but this is accually an elephant sanctuary and farm. Elephants are rescued from owners that mistreat them or removed from areas where there are too many people to avoid conflict which could lead to the destruction of the animal.





Proceedes from the elephant rides and feedings go towards the upkeep of the sanctuary. Lucy was a little intimidated at first. When you see an elephant in Kenya, you run like hell!
